Assist in planning and supporting VSCA's annual conference. Members gain experience in event planning, collaborate with presenters and vendors, and help create engaging learning experiences for hundreds of counseling professionals.
Support the creation of webinars, workshops, and learning opportunities throughout the year. Members help identify emerging topics, recruit presenters, and contribute to high-quality professional learning aligned with current best practices.
Share the story of VSCA through newsletters, social media, website content, and member communications. Members develop communication and marketing skills while helping keep the membership informed and connected.
Connect graduate students with VSCA through mentorship, networking, and leadership opportunities. Members help develop resources and programming that support future school counselors as they enter the profession.

Help recruit, engage, and retain VSCA members. Committee members develop strategies to enhance member benefits, strengthen relationships, welcome new members, and improve the overall membership experience.

Help advance legislation and policies that support school counselors and students. Members will learn about advocacy strategies, collaborate on legislative priorities, participate in advocacy campaigns, and help elevate the voice of school counselors throughout Virginia.
