Welcome to VSCA!

Founded in 1962 , the Virginia School Counselor Association is a state chapter of the American School Counselor Association. It is the only school counselor association in the Commonwealth of Virginia solely for and by school counselors. 


Nominations for Board of Directors Now Open

VSCA members may nominate themselves to be considered for election to the Virginia School Counselor Association (VSCA) Board of Directors for a three year term. This is an opportunity to become involved in the largest group of School Counselors and stakeholders in Virginia.

Nominations for the 2024-2027 Board term are open now and will close April 5, 2024 at 11:59pm. Nominees must be members of VSCA, and have at least three(3) years in the school counseling profession.

The slate of nominees will be announced and the election will be held in April.

The nomination form is available in the Members' Only area of the website. When you are ready to nominate yourself you can start here.
